The history of the vehicle prior is unknown other than it was restored at the shop Farley's Truck & Auto Addictions not too long ago. The selling party purchased the car in October 2021 at a local auction. This is a very unique opportunity to own a piece of Trans Am history. So, Reynolds eventually got his own Trans Am - a 1978 version with 220 hp stock. For the serious Trans Am collectors & enthusiasts, it does not get much better than this. In fact, the car became synonymous with Reynolds and his character in that film. This car was not about going fast but to look & sound good on the road. Under the hood of this beautiful example is the 403ci 6.6L V8 L80 engine you can hear driving down the road with the factory T-Tops removed. When it was announced that this car would get its very own Special Edition due to the film, demand surged at dealerships for it, therefore we are very happy to offer you all this very nice example.
